Your Random Late 80's, Early 90's Baseball Player of the Day: Kelly Gruber!

In what will be a regular feature on the website, we will bring up a random player from, say, 1984-1998, and maybe just talk shortly about the contribution they made to the game of baseball.

Kelly Gruber was a heck of a baseball player during 1990. Whether he was on steroids or not, I think everyone will agree that finishing 4th in MVP voting behind Rickey Henderson, Cecil Fielder and Roger Clemens is something to be proud of.

The good: First Blue Jay to hit for the cycle, flowing locks of blond hair.

The bad: Career .307 on base percentage, poor business leadership skills according to David Wells.
